Jesse Rangel was born September 30, 1974 at Paradise Valley Hospital in San Diego, CA. At the age of 5, his parents realized he could sing! With influences from gospel to rock, his unique soulful sound is sure to change the face of the hip-hop and R&B landscape.
Jesse started studying music at the age of 10, when a teacher at his elementary school in Tucson, AZ heard him tapping on his desk with pencils and talked him into playing drums in the school band. This journey continued through high school, where he honed his singing, rapping and playing skills until moving back to San Diego in 1995.
Once back in Cali, Jesse hooked up with a band named “Box Office” and did numerous gigs around southern California. He was dubbed “The Golden Child” after many encounters with producers, such as Grammy Award winner Doug Rasheed (Gangsters Paradise).
In 2000, Jesse decided to leave California and seek options in Florida, where he signed with multi-talented producer and CEO of Trak Quest Productions, Thomas Clark. His first single is scheduled for release in late October 2007. The entire album, titled “Skillz” will be released by the end of the year.
